He Will Command His Angels Concerning You

As I sat at the stop light this morning I noticed how hard the wind was blowing, pushing in the new weather front whose arrival was impending, according to the morning weather report.

Rain was threatened this morning but had subsided by the time I left for work. The sky was gray, gray, gray. The clouds, however, were blowing past me in the sky and about 10 in a row, whiter and denser than the pale background of the sky appeared as a band of angels, moving in unison across the sky at a steady, but measured clip.

Psalm 91 has been on my mind throughout the weekend and I couldn't help but think that is exactly where God wanted me to be spending my time in His Word. He had, after all, arranged the angels/clouds perfectly to affirm me at just that moment!

"If you make the Most High your dwelling—even the LORD, who is my refuge-then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone" (Psalm 91:9-12 NIV).

He indeed guards our ways!

Blessings on your journey,
Mary

Sweet Friend,

Thank you so much for this posting. Psalm 91 is my favorite and I rest in that Psalm. Yesterday was full of unexpected surprises, not good ones so coming here and reading your experience lifted me up too!

Love you,
