Update on our church friend, Mike

Update from Mike's family:

Today Mike's doctors put in a "filter" (for those of you with medical background... an IVC Filter) in the abdomen to prevent the multiple clots in his legs from moving. Then he had a second procedure to remove fluid from the right lung (the lung affected by the tumor). The procedure is called thoracenthesis", and apparently involved insertion of a needle to draw out the fluid.

Mike came through both procedures and was tired but feeling okay mid-day.

Thank you to those who have checked back on Mike's status. Edie at Rich Gifts should have a prayer button to me later this evening or tomorrow. Feel free to come back to pick it up for your blog.

IT'S UP! MY NEW BANNER AND BLOG DESIGN!

You'll notice the new banner as soon as you click on the blog url. It's just beautiful and I couldn't be more pleased.

Edie at Rich Gifts worked hard to make this banner, a smaller version for my website and then change the template for the blog to a three column design. Now I have a consistent, professional look for the website, the blog, and the beautiful button.

I'll be rearranging the blog elements over the next couple of days, so stop back often to see my progress!

Edie doesn't know it yet, but I'm going to have her do some more graphics to correspond to my website. This is a little less "cute" than the original banner and avatar I have used for several years. Also as my ministry has evolved, I think this new one represents the new focus.
