Wow! God really showed His mercy, grace and love in my life today! A potentially devastating situation turned around completely in the course of a few hours. I had received a phone call about a situation that was looking rather dire. I immediately went to God in prayer -- turned over the result to Him, offered that I knew He had a reason and a plan for each of us.
Within a matter of hours, events turned around - and there is only one way that could have happened: God!
It's been a long, roller-coaster kind of day, but as tired as I am I just felt compelled to thank God and to share my gratitude with readers. And to offer hope-God does answer our prayers. In this situation it was almost immediate, and the outcome was even better than I desired. Sometimes it takes years . . . and we don't know the reasons this side of heaven. But I think God used today to nudge me a bit -- to remind me He is God, He is in charge, and He's going to take care of whatever need to be taken of.
Whew! I'm really going to sleep well tonight, remembering He's got it covered. I also know that I will be stepping up my prayer life -- it's been a bit lacking lately -- okay more than a bit
"[A song of ascents. ] I call on the LORD in my distress, and he answers me" (Psalm 120:1 NIV).
"To the LORD I cry aloud, and he answers me from his holy hill. Selah (Psalm 3:4 NIV).
Blessings on your journey,
Mary
