As God often does, He has twisted and tweaked my plan into something more! Beyond my intentional daily acts of kindness/good deeds, I am compelled to study more deeply the story that has become so familiar to most Christians.
I have been digging deeper into the myth and mystery surrounding the stories of Jesus' birth. I am curious about the "why's" and "who's" and "what's" of Mary, Joseph, the shepherds, the innkeeper, the government and society of the time, the angels, the tiny baby, and God Himself and His divine plan!
A mere 361 days is not nearly enough time to delve deeply into all these things, but I'm going to go for it! I hope you'll join me in this journey, that I'm sure will prove to be incredible and puzzling, enlightening and perplexing, but mostly cause to fall more and more in love with our Creator.
"I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead" (Philippians 3:10 NIV).
Blessings on your journey,
Mary
